One of the most fulfilling things about being a business owner is watching our team grow personally and professionally. We've been able to give opportunities to young people right out of school who have helped lead our business to where it is today. Many of our leaders began as sales associates or other entry level positions and now manage their own stores or lead whole divisions of the company. It's been incredible to see how much they've grown and learned about leadership and business.

A federal appeals court reinstated the fraud conviction of Hunter Biden's former business partner on Wednesday, reversing a lower court judge who had granted his request for a retrial.

Hunter Biden was not implicated in the scheme, which defrauded the Oglala Sioux Indian tribe out of the proceeds of bond sales. But the scheme was committed under the auspices of a broader business venture in which Hunter Biden was involved, and the perpetrators invoked his name to bolster their legitimacy, according to testimony and a consultant's slide presentation presented at trial.

Anti-California dream creates booming business opportunities | Fox Business

In recent years, the number of Californians leaving the Golden State has exceeded the number of new residents moving in , and the mass exodus has created business opportunities for companies offering to help disillusioned residents settle elsewhere in the United States.

Two of those companies are LeavingTheBayArea.com and LeavingSoCal.com , started by Scott Fuller, a real estate broker now residing in Arizona. Fuller told Fox Business that he got the ideas for these companies by working with a lot of clients who were “getting fed up and tired of what’s happening in California.”

Thanks to new business grants program, companies can get up to $300,000 - VTDigger

State officials are creating rules for Vermont’s latest business grant program, hoping to send $76.7 million in federal money where it is needed the most.

The application process for the business grants program, which was approved by lawmakers Sept. 25 as part of the state budget, is being refined to increase the eligibility pool, said Joan Goldstein, the state’s economic development commissioner.

The original $150 million emergency business grants program was launched July 6. That program, set up by the Legislature to help companies that lost money because of the Covid-19 pandemic, ultimately made grants of up to $150,000 available to individual businesses.

Podcast advertising has a business intelligence gap – TechCrunch

There are sizable , meaningful gaps in the knowledge collection and publication of podcast listening and engagement statistics. Coupled with still-developing advertising technology because of the distributed nature of the medium, this causes uncertainty in user consumption and ad exposure and impact. There is also a lot of misinformation and misconception about the challenges marketers face in these channels.

All of this compounds to delay ad revenue growth for creators, publishers and networks by inhibiting new and scaling advertising investment, resulting in lost opportunity among all parties invested in the channel. There's a viable opportunity for a collective of industry professionals to collaborate on a solution for unified, free reporting, or a new business venture that collects and publishes more comprehensive data that ultimately promotes growth for podcast advertising.
