Chicago accuses Grubhub, DoorDash of deceptive business practices | Restaurant Dive

The city claims the platforms advertise services from non-partner restaurants without their consent and bait and switch customers with steep delivery fees. Both companies deny these allegations.

Chicago filed two consumer protection lawsuits against DoorDash and Grubhub on Friday for "engaging in deceptive and unfair business practices that harm restaurants and mislead consumers," according to a press release .

East St. Louis K-9 officer sues over unpaid overtime | Law and order | stltoday.com

EAST ST. LOUIS — An East St. Louis police officer sued his department Friday, claiming he had not been paid for 413 hours of overtime he earned while caring for his police dog.

Robert Sallie Jr.'s lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis, says his duties as a K-9 officer require him to feed, bathe, exercise, train, clean up after and otherwise care for the dog he was assigned. He had a dog from June 14-Nov. 14 of 2019, the suit says.

China's Supreme People's Court and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security have released a lengthy document condemning China's "996" work culture as labour violations that deprive workers of overtime payments.
