The path to Wall Street is paved with patents for Biotech companies - CTech

It would be no exaggeration to see the past year as a golden age of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for Israeli startups and tech companies.

Although these tech IPOs have reverberated loudly with huge media coverage, biotech has not been part of the trend. For Biotech companies, an IPO is usually less of an exit and more of a financing event intended to fund expensive research, development, and clinical trials.

Journalists report working hundreds of hours of unpaid overtime at Gannett papers – Poynter

Multiple journalists have come forward to share stories about working overtime without pay at Gannett after an editor at The Arizona Republic wrote a tweet implying that the practice was just another way of "gaining experience."

Current and former reporters at the Republic said that getting overtime approved at the paper is difficult, and the newsroom culture discourages people from asking for it. Similar issues have taken place at other Gannett papers, with some reporters recalling stories that stretch back decades.

Biden builds back broke | Opinion | mainstreet-nashville.com

President Joe Biden hasn't hesitated in boasting about the supposedly "historic middle-class tax cut" making its way through the halls of Congress. But, his speeches delivered behind teleprompters hide the inconvenient reality of the "historic" agenda.

Made up of 40 separate tax increases worth $2 trillion, the Democrats' plan would be the largest package of tax increases since 1968. President Biden promises these hikes will fall on "big corporations and the very wealthy," but we know we can't take him at his word.

4 Ways to Increase the Tax Benefits of Your Charitable Giving

In my experience as a financial advisor, physicians — most likely including you — give generously to charities. As long as you're donating, why not receive a tax benefit? It's gotten a bit more complicated but it's certainly doable.

Let's start with some background. The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) nearly doubled the standard tax deduction. For 2021 it is $12,550 for single filers and $25,100 for married couples.

Before we talk about constructive sales, it's important to understand the default tax rules for reporting cryptocurrency gains. Typically, crypto gains are not taxed until they are realized. You realize cryptocurrency capital gains when you actually cash out or convert one coin with another.

However, a constructive sale could happen even when you don't actually trade your coins.
