Fewer projects — and smaller projects — but more emphasis on making them scale. This is what the picture looks like for corporate innovation in France, according to a survey by Founders Factory France.

However, said Albin Serviant, chief executive of Founders Factory France, the remaining innovation projects were getting far more attention from the C-suite.
“Innovation is a board-level issue now. There are fewer projects but more emphasis on scaling them,” he said.

The CMO Survey : In the US, marketing's share of budget grows even as head count declines -
Results from the lastest The CMO Survey reveal that Covid-19 has accelerated the adoption of digital tools among companies and customers.
At a headline level though, the report which studies the views of US CMOs, unsurprisingly reveals well-founded pessimism about the US economy. Respondents were somewhat less pessimistic about the outlook for their own organisations.

On this year’s summer vacation, here’s how to set (and stick to) a budget | Travel
For Kathy Lopez, it's all about the spreadsheet. When she started planning a future trip to Europe with her friends, she put every expense into Microsoft Excel to determine how much the monthlong adventure would cost.
"We're going to save a lot of money and planning time on the road," says Lopez, a retired city manager from Prescott, Arizona.
If your eyes glazed over when you saw the word "spreadsheet," please keep reading. Travel companies don't want you to make a budget. They'd prefer that you mindlessly swipe your credit card at the ticket counter, the front desk, the restaurant. You'll spend more, and you could end up in debt.
Hanover Area passes final budget after testy exchange in virtual meeting | Times Leader
HANOVER TWP. — The Hanover Area School Board approved a final budget with no tax increase Tuesday, but the motions sparked some testy debate after Board Member Vic Kopko read a statement warning of “financial minefields” in the budget and noting there is a $109,000 shortfall that will force the district to completely exhaust its small fund balance.
Kopko ultimately voted in favor of the budget, though he said it was “only because of the no tax increase.” After hearing about the deficit, Board Member Frank Ciavarella changed his vote to no, making the vote 8-1. Ciavarella said he was unaware of the deficit.
