On Monday, 500 people called into Los Angeles City Council Budget and Finance committee meeting to yell at our elected officials over their awful budget . This was beautiful. Our city budget is trash and undemocratic and people are noticing.

CAMERON -- On June 8 Cameron Town Council met at the town hall using social distancing, giving unanimous approval to the 2020-21 budget.
The budget totals $355,977.00. The allocations by department are: fire department $53,500; police department $83,081; street department $92,636; administrative department $58,560; building and maintenance $21,500; miscellaneous $26,700; capital improvements $20,000.00
The police budget includes vests, cameras and a new police vehicle. The tax millage is unchanged from last year.
FICCI opposes allowing legalisation of undisclosed money in budget
The Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed concern over the opportunity given to legalise undisclosed money in the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2020-21.
Urging the government to revisit the proposal, the chamber said that allowing undisclosed money to be deposited in the banking channel after paying a lower income tax rate without any satisfactory explanation of the source might contradict the existing anti-money laundering guidelines.
