(CNN) Ever since joining the presidential fray, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has repeatedly said that he will do everything he can to dethrone President Donald Trump — even if that means supporting another Democratic nominee with views quite different than his own — such as Massachusetts Sen. Here's how financial advisers manage their money when stocks tank - MarketWatch
Amid this turmoil, how do financial advisers stay calm? Are they just pretending while inside they're just as nervous as you are about their own money? After all, they have retirement savings, bills to pay and families to support.
Here are four common behaviors I've observed during tumultuous world events while working alongside fellow fee-only certified financial planners managing diversified portfolio strategies using index funds and exchange-traded funds. Advisers spend a lot of time educating their clients about what it means to be a successful investor — most importantly to expect sudden drops in the market.
Letter | City schools should explain where money is spent – Santa Cruz Sentinel
Santa Cruz City Schools has taken an unprecedented step in its two latest parcel tax measures. They will be permanent.
Until now, parcel taxes have always had an expiration date. Measures T and U will not. City Schools will continue to collect the money without ever having to justify the need or to explain where they will spend the money.
Santa Cruz voters have consistently supported their schools. City Schools might consider offering respect to those voters by being honest and transparent in their parcel tax measures.

Yerrid declined to reveal the amount of the payment and where it may have ended up. The lawsuit does not name the client and states only that his firm is seeking damages in excess of $30,000. Yerrid said the missing money has been reported to the FBI and to a Hong Kong law enforcement agency.
Get a call claiming you were refunded too much money? It may be a scam
Wade, who said he worked at Amazon, claimed that a drastic mistake took place in which too much money had been refunded from a purchase and deposited into the man's bank account.
The man needed to pay back the money or he'd be in big trouble. Wade suggested that the man buy eBay gift cards at a variety of stores, including Walmart, CVS Pharmacy and 7-Eleven.
Was there really a big problem? The caller convinced the man that he needed to rush out to fix things right away.
