The OnePlus Nord phone will go back to the company’s budget roots

Now OnePlus has confirmed it's going back to its roots with the 'OnePlus Nord.' Presales will begin tomorrow and the price is expected to come in at under $500, although the device will only be available in India and Europe to start. That said, customers in North America can join a "highly limited beta" to try the device after its international launch.

We first heard the name pop up a couple of months ago, but we've been hearing about a 'OnePlus Lite' since last year; it's nice to see it beginning to come to fruition. Current leaks have pointed to a Snapdragon 765G, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. That's more than good enough for the vast majority of users, especially considering how well-optimized OnePlus' software tends to be. As a nice surprise given the budget price point, OnePlus appears to be keeping the 90Hz display too.

Best car rental deals right now - Business Insider

As many states begin phased reopenings following shutdowns due to the novel coronavirus, travelers are starting to plan easy summer getaways. However, most aren't quite ready to board planes just yet and fly off to far-flung locations.

Keep in mind that holiday weekends still see surges in price, so for the best savings, try to opt for non-peak days. I did a sample search and found cars starting at $333 over a holiday summer weekend from New York. But for two days mid-week later in the summer prices were as low as $183.

Worcester council dismayed budget lacks funding for police body cams - News - telegram.com -

WORCESTER - There are growing calls on the City Council for the implementation of a permanent body camera program for police officers, with many councilors saying such a program is long overdue.

Some said they would like to see such a program fully implemented by Jan. 1, though no money has been set aside in the fiscal 2021 budget for it.

Councilors said they were disappointed that no money was included in the budget for a body camera program, especially during these times of heightened scrutiny over how police officers do their jobs.

BOMA adopts budget; TEMA requests storage at Northfield - News - The Daily Herald - Columbia, TN

SPRING HILL — With only one day before its deadline, the Spring Hill Board of Mayor and Aldermen swiftly adopted its $81 million budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year Tuesday.

This is the fourth time the budget has been reviewed by BOMA members, having failed previously in June due to disagreements stemming from potential staff cuts. This included terminating the role of city planning director, currently held by Steve Foote.

Last week’s special called meeting saw the BOMA vote to table any planning department cuts, with alderman Dan Allen, who originally proposed the planning director cut in favor of privatizing the position, called for a truce. Allen suggested city leaders postpone any talks of privatizing the position until after they adopt the budget.

Gartner Says CMOs Remain Optimistic About Budgets Post-COVID19, Despite Bleak Outlook from

While pre-COVID-19 marketing budgets remained flat year-over-year, making up 11% of overall company revenue, more than 44% of CMOs have experienced mid-year budget cuts as a result of the pandemic and 10.7% of those expect their budgets to face significant cuts of more than 15%.

"Therefore, CMOs should plan for future budgetary pressures now, rather than gamble on budgets bouncing back," added Mr. McIntyre. "The brands that succeed in uncertain times are those that recognize the change around them and adjust to it, rather than wait for things to go back to normal. CMOs need to build a plan that sets out the costs that can be eliminated, the essential costs that must be shielded and the costs where greater efficiency and ROI can be delivered."

Marion City Council adopts 2020-2021 budget | Local News | mcdowellnews.com

At the Tuesday meeting, the Marion City Council adopted the $11.9 million budget for fiscal year 2020-2021. The city of Marion's property tax rate will stay at 51 cents per $100 valuation, where it has remained for more than 50 years. As they have with previous meetings, the City Council conducted business in a different way because of the COVID-19 pandemic. City officials and the public practiced social distancing and all persons at the meeting wore face masks.

Similar to McDowell County, the city of Marion's budget was presented later than usual. City officials have been cautious about preparing the budget because of the uncertainty over the COVID-19 situation and the resulting economic impact. The city's plan for 2020-2021 is $11,979,413 and this represents a decrease of .03% from the 2019-2020 budget.
