That was the message delivered by Guernsey County Prosecuting Attorney Lindsey Angler during a meeting hosted by commissioners on Wednesday to business owners who fail to pay the county's lodging tax.
"They know," said Angler of business owners who fail to pay the 3% lodging tax enacted by county commissioners nearly 17 years ago. "Anybody that is in this business has to know that they have to pay the lodging tax."

In a bid to bury the ghost of retrospective taxation, the government on Thursday brought a bill in the Lok Sabha to withdraw all back tax demands on companies such as Cairn Energy and Vodafone and said it will refund the money collected to enforce such levies.
