Plum property owners will not have to pay more in real estate taxes as a result of the upcoming year’s borough budget.
Borough officials held the line on taxes when council unanimously voted this month to pass their 2022 spending plan. The millage rate remains at 4.78 mills.

Taxes will remain the same in 2022 for residents in the municipalities of the Ellwood City Area and the Riverside school districts.
Borough councils for Ellwood City, Ellport, Wampum and New Beaver, and supervisors for Perry and Wayne townships, have approved and adopted budgets for 2022, with no increase in taxes.

Ellwood City Council agrees to offer for former medical center taxes
ELLWOOD CITY — Council this week agreed to accept an offer from California-based Pelorus Equity Group Inc. for delinquent taxes and electricity costs related to the former Ellwood City Medical Center.
Borough Secretary Linda List said council has agreed to an offer of $450,000 in owed taxes and payments from the period of Dec. 31, 2019, to Dec. 20, 2021.
