A state Farm Laborers Wage Board will hold three public hearings via Zoom — on Jan. 4, Jan. 11 and Jan. 18. The wage board had been scheduled to reconvene between Dec. 15 and the end of December to make a decision.

The Scott administration has agreed to pay $119,839 in back overtime wages to eight current and former employees at the comptroller's office as part of a settlement with the U.S. Department of Labor.
The payments will end a DOL investigation into violations of the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act under Joan Pratt, whose 25-year tenure as Baltimore's elected comptroller ended in December 2020.

MUNCIE, Ind. — In a special meeting Friday afternoon Delaware County Commissioners authorized $1.6 million in American Rescue Plan money to be spent on "retention" salary bonuses for county workers.
The bonuses will vary in size depending on factors including years of service to the county, said commissioners President James King.
