You just left a meeting with your financial adviser, and your nest egg is looking bulletproof, with a projected worth of well over $1 million at age 95. But wait a second, are you sure about that?
If your financial projections look too good to be true, they might well be, for a variety of reasons.
When the pandemic hit home in March 2020, the stock market crumbled and many people saw their investment portfolios drop. Fortunately, the markets eventually recovered; but the sudden drop caused many people to review their investments and projections.

Personal finance, money advice for women: How to start investing
Strides have been made for women in finance, with the likes of U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen , ECB president Christine Lagarde and Citigroup's Jane Fraser now assuming top industry positions.
But when it comes to personal finance, all too often they lag behind their male counterparts ; demonstrating less tendency to invest and grow their personal wealth.
"Women need to understand there are certain factual trends at play," Lorna Tan, head of financial planning literacy at Singapore's DBS Bank told CNBC Make It , "and they need to have a holistic financial plan in place."

There are two new rules with the third stimulus check that could affect you if you have dependents.
An extreme example of the last one: a single parent of four who makes $120,000 wouldn't qualify, where a single parent with 4 dependents who makes $119,000 would still get money.
To give you an idea of how much you might expect to receive in a third payment using the new income guidelines, we calculated a few scenarios for individuals, heads of households and families in the chart below. You can see how setting a hard upper limit changes your payment, based on the amount of money you could expect.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – This upcoming week includes four of the final five scheduled legislative days of the 2021 South Dakota legislative session.
For lawmakers in the Appropriations Committee, the challenge is dollars are here now, but they won’t be next year.

My wife spent $50K on cosmetic procedures.
Over the past three years, my wife has spent over $50,000 on cosmetic procedures. She never used to be a vain person. It started with a face lift after she turned 40, and now she can't stop blowing money on everything from Botox and lip fillers to cool sculpting.
I can think of a dozen ways to use that money more responsibly, but every time I mention it, she just shrugs, and says she likes looking good. According to her logic, she works a lot of overtime and drives a 15-year-old car, and she wouldn't be doing either of those things, if she didn't choose to get these procedures.
