Chicago police are warning residents of several burglaries reported in February at businesses in Little Village on the Southwest Side.
In each incident, a person breaks into a business and takes property from inside, Chicago police said.

Fort Madison experiencing new business boom
FORT MADISON (WGEM) -- While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused small businesses across the Tri-States shut down, officials in Fort Madison said they've actually seen a big surge in new businesses opening.
Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce coordinator Savanna Collier said they held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate the opening of Treasure Trove, located at 722 Avenue G.

"We actually sat down and counted this morning and over the last year we've had 21 new businesses open, with three planning to open in the next three months," Collier said.

A certain truck spotted in the area has caught the attention of quite a few people, and provided a few giggles for passersby, as well.
A saluting German shepherd dressed in fatigues is the logo for a new business, Reporting for Doody, a pet waste management company. The veteran-owned enterprise has its clever motto affixed on the side of its truck, "Leave No Turd Behind."

Thomas said the idea for the poop scooping business came to him while he and Rachel were on their honeymoon in Colorado in August 2019. He joked that it was not exactly the kind of romantic thoughts one should be having while honeymooning.
Big Island mayor proposes to expand gatherings, business events
HILO, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Big Island is looking to loosen COVID-19 restrictions with a new proposal to exempt some business events, but the organizers of the gatherings would need to prove ahead of time that safety measures are in place.
Hawaii County Mayor Mitch Roth said, he wants to give the island’s businesses a chance to bring back more clients by allowing business events at venues like hotels and restaurants.
Hawaii County is seeing an average of three new daily cases for the last 14 days with a test positivity rate of 0.5%, according to Health Department data.
