Who's Eligible: Any small business in Anne Arundel County. The Sub-Grantee must be in good standing with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. Businesses must vaccinate a minimum of 10 people at their clinic.

The Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce has repeatedly been neglected in the development of major business grant programs connected to Fairfax County, the nonprofit’s executive director Sheila Dixon says.
The county says it’s committed to working with more than 55 chambers, including minority chambers, multicultural groups, and other community and business support groups in multiple languages with its most recent financial assistance initiative.
Herrell's Ice Cream in Huntington is closing after 13 years in business
After over a decade serving up scoops and smiles, Herrell’s Ice Cream in Huntington Village will serve its final cone or cup of ice cream sometime on Saturday.
Owners Cathy and Rick Meuser announced the homemade ice cream shop’s last day of operation will be June 19 .
“It is difficult to put into words the gratitude we have for our loyal customers who have made serving homemade ice cream an incredibly rewarding business,” the couple said in an announcement. “The relationships we've made with the community over the past 13 years are something that we will keep near and dear to our hearts.”
Downtown business owners ask City to reconsider 2nd Street traffic study - The Owensboro Times
Downton business owners are asking the City of Owensboro to reconsider a traffic study of 2nd Street and examine options that may be helpful in limiting both speeding vehicles and potential accidents.
Bill Brown, co-owner of the Pub on Second, asked city commissioners to "respectfully revisit your traffic study" conducted in May, which revealed that 86% of drivers drove at or below the 25 mph speed limit.
"That tells you that 14% are at the speed limit and above," Brown said. "To take those numbers out, that's almost 1,400 cars a day. As a business owner, we see that as lots of liability — for us, the property owner and, as for you, the City."

"We had to set up online estimating so customers didn't have to come in the shop if they didn't want to for an estimate on their vehicles," Bradley said, adding the solution came via teamwork through vendor Carwise.
"Most loved it, but some of our older customers still came in to get an estimate face-to-face," Bradley said.
VTG wins contract to manage Navy small business research program -- Washington Technology
VTG will help the Naval Sea Systems Command manage its small business innovation research and small business technology transfer programs.
Under a $27 million contract, the company will provide program and project support services. This will include defining focus areas, developing topics, and identifying proposals and contractors to participate.
VTG will also help the NAVSEA program manager develop strategies, policies, and processes to improve the SBIR program under the five-year contract.
