Lander video rental business closes doors after 12 years | County 10™

(Lander, WY) – Video Warehouse and Arcade, MC Dollar Store and Hollywood Tanning will be closing its doors for good by early July, after 12 years of service to the Lander community.

Owners Chad and Melissa Stricklan made the announcement on the business’ Facebook page on June 11th, and plan on keeping the doors open as they sell the store’s remaining merchandise, with July 9th being the targeted end date.

While unconfirmed for certain, this is likely the last video rental store in Fremont County, and definitely one of the last of it’s kind in the state.

Newly hired York Revolution owners bring diversity to the business

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — Being a “minority” owner of a sports team can mean two different things. And the newest co-owners of the York Revolution this Juneteenth Eve bring together both sides of the definition.

The York Revolution has a newly enlarged ownership group, including a group that collectively owns less than half of the team. Hence why they’re called “minority,” or part-owners.

But two of those owners are Anthony Moore and Fred Walker, two local African-American business owners who are the first minorities to have ownership of the York Revolution.
