ATLANTA — As she plans her commencement, Atiyah Kennedy finds herself at a crossroads. Again.

"I didn't know anything about Georgia State, but I looked into it, saw the many accolades it had received and loved how it was into diversity," she said.

After Kennedy began taking classes, she decided to add planning and economic development as her minor and was selected for the Honors College. It didn't take her long to seek internship experiences and greater engagement on campus.

Before 2022, only four receivers in NFL history held contracts worth $20 million per year. But in the offseason, 11 receivers signed for at least that much. And once the first contract was signed in March — a three-year, $60 million deal between Mike Williams and the L.A.

"When you have everyone kind of playing chicken waiting for everyone else to go and get their deals (done) so they can inevitably top it, (the value of each player) just continues to rise," said Brad Spielberger, a salary cap analyst and contributor for Pro Football Focus and Over The Cap.
