How To Calculate Overtime Pay for Hourly, Salary, and Tipped Employees

Overtime pay can be a complex issue, especially when you factor in the different state and federal overtime laws. The Department of Labor had overtime pay on its Spring 2022 agenda , and plans to release new details this fall.

The contents of the meeting have not been released, but there are hopes that the DOL increases the salaried employees' rate to Obama's 2016 proposal of $47,476. Currently, it is $35,568. Stay tuned for updates through Paycor's Department of Labor Solution .

Denver's staffing shortage means most city workers are getting a $600 bonus this year - Denverite, ...

On Monday, City Council approved the one-time bonuses for eligible staff.

It’s the second pandemic-era bonus for city workers.

Around 8,300 of the city’s more than 11,000 employees are eligible for the bonuses, which will cost around $6 million. City Council’s measure will cover around 5,700 employees, costing around $4.2 million.

CNMI AG sues 7 agency heads for illegal overtime - KUAM.com-KUAM News: On Air. Online. On Demand.

CNMI Attorney General Edward Manibusan told KUAM  in February that his case against Department of Public Safety Commissioner Robert Guerrero for illegal overtime pay in the 2018 Typhoon Yutu disaster recovery was only the beginning. 

"We are pursuing everything that we feel is necessary with regards to overtime pay," he said.
