How much is business insurance? What are the different types?

From employing workers to stocking up inventory, a lot goes into building a business. The process of getting it all together does not happen overnight.

Despite all our planning, sometimes things are out of our control. One day you could walk into your store and find out the sprinkler broke overnight, leaking onto all the products. You could leave one night and immediately after, someone breaks in and steals from your business.

Kitchen renovations based on your budget - The Washington Post

When my husband and I bought our house in Richmond, we knew we'd need to renovate the kitchen. The laminate countertops, off-white cabinets, 1990s appliances and dim lighting made the space feel dark and dirty. I envisioned gutting it and adding square footage.

Like a lot of homeowners, I'd heard that you should spend 10 percent of your home's value on your kitchen renovation (which, by the way, would've still been much less than that initial $88,000 quote) — but I learned that I didn't really need to, and maybe you don't either.

What to do If Your Employer Fails to Pay Overtime or Minimum Wage

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets mandatory minimum wage rates as well as requires most employees to pay overtime wages for each hour worked over 40 in a single workweek.

An overtime pay lawsuit lawyer holds employers responsible for not paying overtime wages as they are in violation of federal law. These cases seek compensation for unpaid overtime hour wages and are thus called " Wage & Hour Lawsuits ."

Ruling Offers California Employers Guidance on Calculating Regular Rate of Pay | Shook, Hardy & ...

A Ninth Circuit panel recently ruled that Target Corp.’s pay practices comport with California law, and as such, Target’s motion for judgment on the pleadings should have been granted by the district court. See Bowen v. Target Corp. , No. 21-56136 (9th Cir., Nov. 1, 2022).

Plaintiffs claimed that Target’s method for calculating overtime pay violated the holding of Alvarado v. Dart Container Corp . , 411 P.3d 528 (Cal. 2018), which concerned the calculation of an employee’s RROP where an employee earns a flat-sum attendance bonus.
