Weehawken introduces 2023 budget totaling over $56 million - Hudson Reporter

The budget runs for the fiscal year from July 1 to June 30. This year’s budget is up from last year ‘s budget of $48,632,319. However, Turner said this was only a large increase due to last year’s budget being low because of COVID-19 relief funds.

"It's up from last year, only because of COVID-19," Turner said. "It's not up much at all from pre-pandemic. But during the pandemic, things were shifted due to all the federal aid programs that we got. We got all the COVID-19 funds, so we shifted expenses to those funds.
