The House will vote Wednesday on a stripped-down, temporary budget, known as a continuing resolution or CR, to keep the government funded through mid-December.
"This is how things should be done. Without brinksmanship, without delay," Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Tuesday on the Senate floor. "I truly hope we will continue to see this same bipartisanship in the Senate."
