Here are five of the creative ways I added money to my emergency fund every month last year, despite having an income shift in 2020.
An easy way to contribute to my emergency fund was making a conscious decision to skip ordering takeout once a week and depositing that cash. If I'd usually spend $15 a week on a takeout meal, I'd trade doing that for eating leftovers (or something homemade) and put that $60 savings into my emergency fund at the end of the month.

When will I get my second stimulus check ? The IRS says its "Get My Payment" website is now active, and millions of Americans can track their payments.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said last Tuesday that the Treasury Department delivered a payment file to the Federal Reserve for "Economic Impact Payments," the official name for the $600 direct payments from the latest Covid relief bill to help Americans affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Payments began showing up automatically by direct deposit within days, and paper checks started going out Wednesday, Dec. 30.
