Best cheap gaming laptops under $1,000 for 2021 - CNET

The Acer Nitro 5 comes in both 17.3- and 15.6-inch sizes. A 17-inch laptop is a rarity with entry-level gaming laptops; most sub-$1,000 gaming laptops have 15.6-inch displays, and the Acer's larger screen lets you sink in and get lost in whatever world you're playing in.

The Aspire 7 isn't a "gaming" laptop but is a great option if you're looking for a home office laptop that's also good for gaming. Along with an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card and a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 processor, you get a good 15.6-inch full-HD display and a bevy of ports for $800.

2020 in wealth management, asset management: mergers, talent trends - Business Insider

For the wealth and asset management industries, this year was marked by widespread consolidation, fierce competition for financial advisor talent, and firms doubling down on their wealth businesses.

Investment management merger and acquisition activity in the US was valued at some $28 billion this year, the highest overall deal value in the sector since $29 billion in 2000, according to data from Dealogic.

Analysts and executives expect the wave of consolidation to carry into next year as sheer scale has become a necessity for fee-pressured investment managers looking for an edge.

Trump Signs Spending Bill, Pandemic Aid Package | Voice of America - English

With the clock ticking toward a potential U.S. government shutdown, President Donald Trump Sunday signed a $2.3 trillion funding measure that includes $900 billion for coronavirus relief and $1.4 trillion for government funding through next September.

The president had called the bill "a disgrace" after the House of Representatives and Senate passed it last week, capping months of negotiations in which Trump was little involved.

His objections surprised many who thought the president would support the funding measure, and brought a week of calls from Republican and Democratic leaders for him to sign it.

California: Nuro robot cars to deliver pizza, groceries, and medicine - Business Insider

San Francisco and Silicon Valley's streets have been bustling with self-driving vehicles from an array of companies for years. But those vehicles have only been issued permits for testing on public roads. Now, the robotics-startup Nuro has an official stamp of approval to start its paid service, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

In 2017, California had granted Nuro approval to test its vehicles with safety drivers inside. In April 2020, it said the company could begin testing without drivers.
