Service Rescinds Endangered Species Act Critical Habitat Exclusion Regulations | U.S.

To better fulfill the conservation purposes of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is rescinding regulations from 2020 that changed the process for excluding areas from critical habitat designations under section 4(b)(2) of the ESA.

"The Service is the federal government's lead agency on endangered species, responsible for conserving the nature of America for future generations," said Service Director Martha Williams .

Washington, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today released a new national poll conducted by   AXIS Research .

The poll reveals that more than anything else, voters want Congress focused on the economy (30%) and inflation (28%). And only 1% of voters think Congress should prioritize regulating technology companies, making it one of the lowest overall priorities for voters.

Las Vegas Apartment Complex Manager Sentenced for Violating Clean Air Act Asbestos Regulations at ...

A California man was sentenced to one year and one day in prison and 36 months of supervised release for renovating two apartment complexes in violation of federal Clean Air Act regulations intended to prevent human exposure to toxic airborne asbestos fibers.

Bobby Khalili, 46, of Los Angeles, was indicted by a grand jury sitting in the District of Nevada in September 2019, in connection with asbestos-related Clean Air Act violations at a Las Vegas apartment complex.
