A donation by Chevron will provide important safety equipment upgrades to the Carlsbad Fire Department, Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway announced. Chevron officials attended Carlsbad's City Council meeting on Jan. 11, 2022, to present the $40,000 donation.
"Chevron has been an incredible community partner for many years, especially when it comes to public safety," Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway said. "The company's strong support has helped make Carlsbad a safer place for our first responders and for our entire population."

UOB, Southeast Asia's third-largest bank, is acquiring Citi's unsecured and secured lending portfolios, wealth management and retail deposit businesses in the four countries. This includes 24 branches.
