Samsung Australia has taken more pre-orders for this year's folding phones than it sold foldable handsets in the whole of 2020, as the industry nears an inflection point of mainstream adoption for the new form factor.
And while the pandemic has seen a surge in popularity for the company's budget offerings in developing markets, Samsung Australia's vice president of mobile Garry McGregor said premium was still king down under, where the majority of devices are financed through telcos.

The Realme 8i is on offer in two different storage variants, namely 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The former will retail for Rs 13,999 while the latter is set to be available for Rs 15,999.
The handset is available in two hues, Space Black and Space Purple and will go on sale starting September 14 via Realme India’s official site, Flipkart and other stores. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank cardholders can get a discount of up to Rs 1,000 when purchasing the device.
