Officer Brian Hunzeker Is Showing Up at Traffic Court and Getting Overtime Pay While on

Officer Brian Hunzeker has kept busy since the Portland Police Bureau placed him on paid administrative leave in late May.

Hunzeker resigned from his role as president of the Portland Police Association on March 16 due to what the union described as a "serious, isolated mistake related to the Police Bureau's investigation into the alleged hit-andrun by Commissioner [Jo Ann] Hardesty."

Roanoke firefighters denied overtime pay, lawsuit alleges | Local News | roanoke.com

Three Roanoke firefighters are claiming that they and other coworkers were denied overtime pay by the city.

Their lawsuit, filed last week in U.S. District Court in Roanoke, applies to a limited number of employees who were deployed for emergency duty related to Hurricane Dorian in September 2019.

On-call Metro supervisors start receiving standby pay | Las Vegas Review-Journal

High-ranking Las Vegas police officers started standby benefits last month after more than two years of union negotiations.

The Las Vegas Police Managers and Supervisors Association confirmed that officers required to work standby now receive 10 hours of vacation time for every 300 hours of on-call work. The union represents sergeants, lieutenants and captains.

Beltrami Commissioners determine use of $3.3 million in federal funds | Bemidji Pioneer

BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners has begun the process of appropriating federal dollars it received in the last stimulus package.

Beltrami County is receiving a total of $9.16 million from the American Rescue Plan Act through the federal government. The first allotment of funding amounted to $4.58 million in May, with the second amount anticipated in May 2022.

Teachers eyeing 'one-day absence' over unreleased overtime pay – Manila Bulletin

Public school teachers are eyeing to stage a synchronized one-day absence if the Department of Education (DepEd) fails to immediately release the overtime pay for the overtime work public teachers rendered for 87 days.

Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) gave DepEd until Oct. 5 to give public school teachers their OT pay which allegedly costs P23,605.71 and 87 days’ worth of service credits “before they claim it themselves.”
