B&B Market owners sell business to longtime employee | Pine Journal

Over the last 33 years, B&B Market, the business he owns with his wife Kim, has won the Chamber's Small Business of the Year award three times. At the banquet Tuesday, Sept. 28, however, John announced he and his wife were selling B&B Market and transitioning away from working at the shop.

Evanston Local Marketplace connects business and buyers online - Evanston RoundTable

ELM is an e-commerce platform that connects Evanston small businesses to consumers, to other business, and to government buyers. Most small businesses don't have the time, financial resources, or expertise to develop effective e-commerce capabilities.

Bryant Wallace, an Evanston resident, business owner, and member of the Leadership Evanston class of 2019, recognized this challenge. He was familiar with the technology and with the City's desire to spend more of its budget with local small business as part of the economic development agenda.

People Keeping Cars Longer Drives Business At B-N Auto Repair Shops | WGLT

There's at least one part of the car business that's booming in an industry that has struggled with COVID-related economic pitfalls and supply chain delays.

CDC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AWARDED GRANT - KQEN News Radio

CCD Business Development Corporation has been awarded a Technical Assistance Grant for coastal small businesses from the Judith Ann Mogan Foundation.

A release said the grant will provide technical assistance to business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs in Douglas, Coos and Curry counties. The project will focus on assistance to businesses as they navigate the current COVID crisis through response and recovery.

Kearney chamber presents Business Excellence Awards | Business | mycouriertribune.com

The Kearney Chamber of Commerce presented five Business Excellence Awards awards at its first-ever Harvest Gala Thursday, Sept. 23, at Tobacco Barn Farm in Holt. Award recipients were nominated by members of the community.

The first business award presented was the Rising Star award, which recognizes a new business or a business that reignited, rebranded, or reinvented itself over the last year. The winner was Bea's Flowers and Gifts.

Survey: Small business optimism at all-time high but consumer confidence drops | WRAL TechWire

RALEIGH – Small business owners are feeling more optimistic than at any point in the prior 19 years, a new survey from PNC found. But consumers aren’t nearly as excited about the future.

Owners with a higher share of employees reporting they’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are even more optimistic.

Ozy Media Board Announces Investigation of Business Practices - WSJ

The board of online news magazine Ozy Media said it was conducting an investigation into the company's business practices following a New York Times report that raised questions about the company.

In a statement, Ozy's board, which includes Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, said it has hired the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison LLP to "conduct a review of the company's business activities."
