Mexican state utility earmarks over US$4.6bn for transmission projects - BNamericas

Noé Peña Silva, head of CFE Transmisión , the power supply subsidiary of Mexico's state-owned electricity utility CFE , has confirmed company plans to carry out 199 modernization and expansion projects on the national electricity grid between 2020 and 2024, which will involve total investments of 92.6bn pesos (US$4.64bn).

In an update of company plans on Wednesday, Péña said 177 of the 199 projects would move forward under the aegis of Mexico's system modernization program (Prodesen) for 2020-2024, while the remaining 22 are initiatives to be carried out under its own initiative.

Pinduoduo doubles down on ag after posting revenue beat · TechNode

Chinese e-commerce giant Pinduoduo posted better-than-expected results for the first quarter of this year, readying for more investments in agriculture research and logistics.

Why it matters: Facing intensified competition in China's e-commerce market, the Shanghai-based company has become laser-focused on "digitizing agriculture" and the grocery sector.

Revenue beat: Pinduoduo posted first quarter revenue of RMB 22.2 billion ($3.4 billion), climbing 239% year-on-year from RMB 6.5 billion in the same quarter of 2020. The increase was primarily driven by revenue increase from online marketing services and merchandise sales.

PJSC TATNEFT's net revenue from sales increased by 27 percent to RUB 222 billion; while the net profit - up to RUB 37 billion Compared to the first quarter of 2020.

Instagram App Update: How to Hide Your Likes Count From the Public | iTech Post

Instagram users can now have more control over how they use the app. Facebook and Instagram  is giving users the option to hide their public counts, tereby allowing them to identify what works best for them and their situation.

In 2019, some Instagram users noticed that their posts' like counts disappeared, only displaying a username. The text "Liked by (username) and others" appear next to three icons of users who liked that post on the bottom left of the photo, under the like, comment and share icons.

OnePlus will launch 2 new Nord phones soon, but neither is the Nord 2 (Updated)

Update: May 27, 2021 (9:28 AM ET): OnePlus has now revealed that it will also launch the Nord N200 5G soon. The firm explained that while the Nord CE is aimed at European and Indian users, the Nord N200 5G will come to North America and is focused on making 5G more accessible (suggesting a cheap 5G phone).

OnePlus reiterated a June 10 launch date for the Nord CE, but said North American consumers should “stay tuned” for launch details regarding the Nord N200 5G. This suggests that it won’t debut at the June 10 event.
