UC Riverside contract with economics firm ends after concerns raised – Press Enterprise

UC Riverside’s economics research center is inactive after the university’s contract with a consulting firm ended and faculty and students across the UC system raised concerns about the partnership.

The Center for Economic Forecasting and Development, which operates within the university’s School of Business, was run by Beacon Economics, a Los Angeles research and consulting company, since its creation in 2015 . The contract expired in December.

Rivian: Great New Trucks But Concerning Economics (NASDAQ:RIVN) | Seeking Alpha

My thesis is that Rivian ( NASDAQ: RIVN ) builds great new trucks but their economics are concerning.

Truck buyers will be switching from ICE vehicles to battery electric vehicles ("BEVs") in the decades ahead and I believe the Tesla ( TSLA ) Cybertruck looks a bit strange to many prospective buyers such that there is a wide opening for competitors like Rivian.
