Joint employer status affects employers through collective bargaining and gig economy implications, both of which are prominent topics in the current labor market.

Key to the debate regarding joint employer status is the extent to which the joint employer exercises its power over the employees. In 2015, under the Obama Administration, the joint employer definition was interpreted expansively, as decided in the Browning-Ferris decision .

Proposed city marijuana sales regulations on Sept. 6 agenda | The Electric

The City Commission will conduct a public hearing during their Sept. 6 meeting on proposed regulations for marijuana operations.

Commissioners voted 3-2 during their Aug. 16 to set the hearing on the regulations as proposed by staff.

The framework, as proposed by staff, and if approved, would only go into effect if the District Court finds that the city cannot prohibit marijuana activities as it currently does, or if the voters opt to allow marijuana activities in the city limits on the November ballot.

Opinion: Noise regulations must be enforced on state roads

The biggest issue is the noise level emitted from open header motorcycles, from hot rod souped up vehicles of all types and from many vehicles that have faulty or damaged exhaust systems.

I recall the day when drag racing was illegal, not today? It's illegal but those who do it know they won't get caught. I've seen many vehicles just come into the area to test out their hopped up engines. They burn rubber and backfire like thunder. This happens all times of the day and night.
