Rethinking the approach to regulations | Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Markets work best when rules are simple, easy to understand, and easy to enforce. The CFPB is seeking to move away from highly complicated rules that have long been a staple of consumer financial regulation and towards simpler and clearer rules.

Regulators have historically issued overly complicated and tailored rules for the existing regulatory landscape, as opposed to providing basic bright-line guidance and rules that can withstand evolution of the marketplace over time.

Insights on New California Privacy Law Draft Regulations - Gibson Dunn

At long last, and just over a month before the drafts were originally scheduled to be finalized, the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) released its draft regulations for the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) on May 27, 2022, in advance of the CPPA's June 8, 2022 meeting.

DWC's Updated Copy Service Schedule Regulations Approved by OAL| California Department of ...

The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) has approved the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) update of the Copy Service Schedule. The effective date of the updated regulations is July 15, 2022.
The original Copy Service Schedule became effective almost seven years ago on July 1, 2015.

"Forever chemicals" detected in Park City groundwater, state and federal regulations expected ...

The Park City Council received a drinking water update at last week's meeting and was made aware that PFAS have been detected in the city's ground water.

Health advisory thresholds for PFAS are at 0.02 parts per trillion and lower. For comparison, the EPA deems the maximum acceptable level of cyanide in drinking water to be 0.2 parts per million, much higher than current PFAS advisory levels.

Connecticut FMLA Regulations in Final Review

Over six months after the Connecticut Family and Medical Leave Act (Connecticut FMLA) took effect, proposed regulations are slated for consideration and approval by the Connecticut Legislative Regulation Review Committee (LRRC).

Natick Board of Health to consider laboratory regulations

Each biosafety level (BSL) comes with certain risks, but also certain protective equipment, safety measures and oversight, Public Health Director Michael Boudreau explained in a presentation at Tuesday's Board of Health meeting.

BSL 2 labs might work with microbes that pose a moderate hazard under certain conditions, but the materials at play are "not exotic," he said. "They're not known to creep up on you."
