Several states are taking steps to temporarily roll back gasoline taxes in hopes of providing some relief for Americans who are experiencing surging prices at the pump. 

Prices for a regular gallon of gas were $4.25 nationwide on Monday, according to AAA, up from $2.82 one year ago but down slightly from last week's level.

March 21, 2022 – Otter Tail County, MN– To support the state's system of streets, roads and bridges, four types of taxes are collected by the State of Minnesota.

Over $2.6 billion was collected state-wide in the HUTDF for 2021. In 2022, Otter Tail County will receive $15,728,928 and townships in the County will receive $2,302,555 to be distributed among the townships.

Maryland, Georgia halt state gas taxes | TheHill

Maryland and Georgia on Friday temporarily halted their state gas taxes to provide some relief to Americans at the pump amid a spike in fuel prices.

Hogan has also previously thrown his support behind legislation suspending automatic increases to the state's gas tax.
