Working Across Borders Provides Global Business Experience for Northwood Students | Northwood

Business today is conducted in a global environment, where differences in everything from culture to time zones affect how things get done.

A select group of students at Northwood University has an opportunity to experience these challenges up close as part of the Working Across Borders project. Northwood is one of 14 schools worldwide participating in the project and the only one in the United States.

NetEase's Online Music Business Revives Plans for $1 Billion IPO - WSJ

HONG KONG—The online music business of Chinese internet company NetEase Inc. has revived its listing plans and is aiming to launch an initial public offering in Hong Kong before the end of this year, according to people familiar with the matter.

Cloud Village Inc., which operates a music-streaming platform similar to that of Spotify Technology SA's , filed for an IPO in the city in late May and was planning to take investor orders in the first half of August. The deal was pulled on Aug.

Commerce starts the bidding for $1.5B small business IT contract -- Washington Technology

The Commerce Department is now ready to take bids from small businesses in pursuit of a potential 10-year, $1.5 billion enterprise IT services contract vehicle.

Proposals are due to Commerce by Jan. 17 and the department expects to make between 15 and 20 awards for its Commerce Acquisition for Transformational Technology Services contract, as outlined in this Friday solicitation release on SAM.gov .

GlossGenius closes on $16.4M to serve as a ‘business in a box’ for the beauty and

GlossGenius , a technology provider for the spa, studio and salon industry, announced today it has raised $16.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

Notably, a high-profile group of angels also participated in the financing, including Shopify co-founder and CEO Tobias Lütke, Toast CEO Chris Comparato, Toast co-founder Aman Narang, Mindbody co-founder Robert Murphy, Yelp executives and former Venmo executives.
