WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI - As snow flurries begin to fly in Michigan , Washtenaw County officials are still recruiting snowplow drivers to clear some 2,257 miles of county roads and state highways when the real storms hit.
"It is particularly challenging this year," said Washtenaw County Road Commission spokesperson Emily Kizer. "We are seeing, just like many other road agencies across the state and really across the country, that we are having shortages in drivers."
