Bookkeeping automation provider Botkeeper announced that it has raised $42 million in Series C funding.
The company plans to use the money to expand its platform and customer success teams, and for strategic partnerships.
The funding round was led by Grand Oaks Capital, which was founded by Paychex founder Tom Golisano, who will join Botkeeper's six-person board of directors.

The Securities and Exchange Commission said Friday it has approved a rule from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board that aims to ensure the PCAOB can inspect auditing firms in other countries, especially China.
"This is an important step to protect U.S. investors," said SEC Chair Gary Gensler in a statement Friday. "I believe it is critical that the Commission and the PCAOB work together to ensure that the auditors of foreign companies accessing U.S. capital markets play by the same rules.
