Health-Care Workers, Agency Finalize $1.5 Million Wage Deal

Staffing company RCM Technologies USA Inc. and health-care workers allegedly shorted on overtime pay secured final approval of a $1.5 million class settlement from a federal court in California.

Rhonda Hubbard alleged RCM underpaid employees on travel assignments in California by excluding the value of weekly per diem and stipend payments from the "regular rate" when calculating overtime pay.

Colorado Proposes Expanded Definition Of Vacation Pay, New Highly Compensated Employee Exemption,

The Colorado Department of Labor Division of Labor Standards and Statistics has proposed modifications to its Wage Protection Rules and has published proposed Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (COMPS) Order #38.

The 2022 Wage Protection Rules propose to bring PTO policies within the Division's purview by significantly expanding the definition of vacation pay. Specifically, the Division proposes to define vacation pay as:

Public servants, soldiers drive take-home pay surge - report | Fin24

A report by BankservAfrica has found that average take-home pay before inflation increased by 13.5% in September, which the index says marks the fastest growth on record of South African salaries.

The BankservAfrica Take-Home Pay Index (BTPI) found that salary data held 800 000 extra payments, which came in large part from government departments and the public service wage adjustments agreed upon at the Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council earlier this year.
