The work can be even more difficult if english is not your first language. UNL Extension Educator Sandra Barrera knows this, and is dedicated to help people overcome language barriers.
Barrera is in charge of the Latino Small Business Program for the UNL Extension Office, which offers free services to local entrepreneurs.

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) - Opening a new business is always a risky venture, but doing so shortly before a pandemic turns out to be remarkably poor timing.
In 2019, friends Abby Kuehne and Amanda Cleary decided to open the Vault Market along Center Street in Ironton. They work with nearly 50 vendors who make and sell a little of everything.
They were inspired by growth in nearby downtowns in Russell and Ashland, Kentucky, and they had hoped to add some vibrancy to Ironton's downtown.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - An existing business is expanding, and a new one is setting up shop, on State Street.
State Street Market, already operating just up the street, will add more vendors. The new location will be called "The Hub."
"We're so excited to be bringing and developing this urban area to more of a marketplace. There will be vegetable vendors, flower vendors, more antiques and collectible vendors," said Patty Johnson, owner of State Street Market.
