STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University will launch new online master's programs in accountancy and taxation in 2021.
The MSU College of Business' Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy is set to begin offering online Master of Professional Accountancy and Master of Taxation programs in the fall, building on the college's nationally-recognized online offerings. The new online programs are made possible by a recent gift from the Richard C. Adkerson Family Foundation .

AICPA CEO Melancon sees PPP opportunities ahead for firms | Accounting Today
CPA firms will be in a great position to help their small business clients with the latest round of the Paycheck Protection Program, according to Barry Melancon, president and CEO of the American Institute of CPAs.
Speaking during a virtual meeting Tuesday of the Accountants Club of America, Melancon described some of the new wrinkles in what's being dubbed PPP 2.0 after accountants successfully helped their clients with the initial rounds of the PPP last year. The approximately 44,000 CPA firms have relationships with many of the estimated 6 million small businesses in the U.S.
