The proposal for the technical release contains 99 implementation questions and answers and proposes guidance for applying the requirements of SFFAS 54, Leases . The proposals for the technical release were created under the assumption that the omnibus amendment proposals become final.

Employment increased by 638,000 jobs in October, including 1,400 in accounting and bookkeeping, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday, and unemployment declined 1 percentage point to 6.9 percent as the economy continues a slow recovery despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
More unemployed people returned to the workforce in October, although millions remain out of work since the start of the pandemic. The labor force participation rate increased by 0.3 percentage point to 61.7 percent in October. However, the number of long-term unemployed (those who have been jobless for 27 weeks or more) increased by 1.2 million to 3.6 million, accounting for 32.5 percent of the total number of people who are currently unemployed.

FASB delays and eases insurance accounting standard | Accounting Today
The Financial Accounting Standards Board is postponing the effective date of its long-duration insurance accounting standard for a year and making it easier to adopt it early.
For companies that have chosen to adopt the new standard before the delayed effective date, FASB is offering them some extra flexibility to facilitate early application of the standard and encourage accelerated delivery of better information to their investors. Insurance companies will be allowed to restate only one previous period, rather than two, if they choose to early adopt the long-duration targeted improvements, or LDTI.
