NEWARK – Contrary to what you may think, small businesses are huge business. Statistics are a bit dated but according to the Small Business Administration (sba.gov), in 2018 there were 30.2 million small businesses in America.
And, again according to the SBA, "Contrary to the popular opinion that the majority of new businesses fail during the first year, the Small Business Association has stated that only 30 percent of newly founded businesses are likely to fail within the first two years. Additionally, 50 percent of small businesses are bound to survive five or more years, and 66 percent would endure throughout the first ten years."

COSHOCTON – Feeling that Coshocton is poised for a great expansion of business and industry has led Melway Paving of Holmesville to open Coshocton Materials.
The new facility at 23674 County Road 621, behind Walmart, allows Melway, founded in 1964, to better serve and grow its client base in Coshocton County and the surrounding area, including Tuscarawas and Muskingum counties.
"We've been waiting for Coshocton to grow and we feel it's getting ready to go," he said. "With the roads here, the workforce here, the people here; all the other towns you look at with road access are really starting to boom. This corridor through here just feels like a natural fit."
