Final Reading: Lawmakers question Scott admin's school budget proposal - VTDigger

— Finance Commissioner Adam Greshin sparked aggravation among some lawmakers with a new proposal from the administration about school budgets presented to House Ways and Means.

House Education Chair Rep. Kate Webb, D-Shelburne, said the idea Greshin presented would cause “chaos.”

“The concept of sending voters back to revote budgets sounds like, instead of stabilizing, contributes to even more chaos,” Webb told Greshin during the committee meeting. “Looking at the 19 districts without budgets right now, the amount of chaos in those districts is palpable.” – Grace Elletson

City budgets feel the pinch as COVID-19 causes cancelations, postpones events | Greeley Tribune

As the threat of the coronavirus continues, more and more events and activities across Weld County are being canceled or postponed.

These cancelations not only impact the finances of vendors, sponsors and local businesses like hotels and restaurants, but city budgets are affected, as well.

With three of the area's main events — the Blues Jam, Greeley Stampede and Downtown Friday Fests — having been canceled or postponed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Greeley, Evans and Windsor are expecting significant hits to budgets.

It is to be noted that the provisions of section 115-O of Income tax Act, 1961 (the Act) are applicable to the dividends declared, distributed or paid on or before 31st March 2020. Likewise, the provisions of section 115BBDA of the Act are applicable to the dividends declared, distributed or paid on or before 31st March 2020.
