NEW GLOUCESTER — The Gray New Gloucester Development Corporation, in cooperation with the towns of Gray and New Gloucester, will welcome John Crane, general manager of the Portland Food Coop, to its Business Summit 2020.
The summit, which is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 at NU Brewing at 437 Lewiston Road, will also provide a showcase for local businesses to promote their products and services.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for networking, appetizers, NU brews for purchase and the business showcase.

Amazon won a victory in its legal battle with President Trump over a $10 billion cloud-computing contract with the Pentagon. The fight began last fall when Amazon, considered a shoo-in for the project, lost out to Microsoft, the market's No. 2 provider, at the last minute. Amazon claims that Mr. Trump meddled in the decision because of his feud with Jeff Bezos, the company's chief executive and owner of The Washington Post.

San Francisco’s LaneOne provides VIP experiences for concertgoers that include tickets for the best seats in the house, food and beverage, a preferred entrance, and transportation. Once, that might have meant a limo. In 2020, it’s an Uber.
“It’s been a seamless partnership for us,” he said. From the get-go, a team at Uber provided “a ton of assistance in the build and integration” to include the ride credits in LaneOne’s app.
