The Supreme Court case seeking to shut down wealth taxes before they exist, Moore v.

Hey, check this cool video out:

A SCOTUS case aiming to protect rich people from taxes could lead to chaos for the federal government's finances.

Nevertheless, on December 5, the Supreme Court will hear a preemptive strike on the very concept of wealth taxes.

This rule, the Supreme Court explained in Helvering v. Horst (1940), is "founded on administrative convenience." It is often difficult to determine how much an asset is actually worth until the asset is sold, especially if that asset is anything other than stock in a publicly traded company.

Germany Announces Special Budget to Avert Crisis - The New York Times

Germany announced a plan to resolve a looming budget crisis on Thursday, proposing a resolution that would make it possible to fill a hole in its spending plans without requiring fresh debt.

The move came after days of uncertainty triggered by the ruling from the country's highest court that declared elements of the 2023 budget invalid because of a rule that limits borrowing.

France makes case for Paris to host new EU dirty money watchdog | Reuters

PARIS, Nov 17 (Reuters) - French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire made the case on Friday for Paris to host the European Union's anti-money laundering agency, saying the French capital already benefited from being a centre for fighting dirty money.

EU countries agreed in 2021 to set up a dedicated agency to coordinate anti-money laundering efforts across the bloc after enforcement among national authorities was found to be inconsistent and wanting.
